Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Turkish Airlines, made an important statement regarding the salary increases for the company's employees. Bolat said they are proposing an increase of 64 percent in the first six months of 2024 and an increase in the inflation rate plus 3 points or at least 25 percent in the second six months. The proposal, supported by these mathematical calculations, included an increase in the salaries of employees from January.
However, Bolat said that this proposal could not be implemented because no agreement was reached in the collective bargaining agreement with the union, and pointed out that the union did not evaluate the constructive approach of the management. As a result, the board decided to increase February salaries by 50%. Bolat stressed that this decision is an employee-oriented approach, stating that they hope to write a story full of success in 2024.
Bolat also stated that they anticipate inflation-based increases in 2025 and aim to provide employees with a fair wage increase in line with industry expectations. He hoped that the decision taken by the management would bring positive results for all employees. Turkish Airlines aims to keep motivation high and ensure a fair working environment with salary increases for its employees.
