Turkish Airlines (THY) has opened a new gateway to the Australian continent by launching 3 flights per week to Melbourne, Australia. The first flight took place from Istanbul Airport with a transfer to Singapore Changi. Melbourne is THY's 346th destination and the company's sixth transport gateway to the continent, which operates flights in 130 countries. The first three Melbourne flights will be operated by Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
